What is a fitness assessment?
A fitness assessment is a set of tests to help determine your level of fitness. We use these tests to help us get you on the right work out program to help you reach your goals. These fitness assessments assess you in body composition, cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility.
What types of tests are done in a fitness assessment?
In our fitness assessments we gather our data from a variety of tests.
Such tests include:
YMCA step test
Treadmill test
Jackson - Pollock skin fold
Waist to hip ratio
Curl- up test
Sit and reach
Push-up test
We also assess your resting values such as your resting heat rate, blood pressure, weight and height.
How does a fitness assessment help me?
A fitness assessment will help us to find out where you are as far as physical fitness and help us determine the right work out programs for you. It also helps us monitor your progress and can help you stay on track to achieve your goal. It can allow us to determine the intensity in which you should work out in order to achieve your goal. Fitness assessments also help you to effectively design a goal and helps you to achieve it.
